Description
The Down Home Begonia is a beautiful hybrid created by Naron Stewart in Bulverde, Texas. The flowers are pink to pinkish-red and hang in large clusters. The leaves are elliptical, black (if grown in low light), and have silver markings; sometimes the leaves are solid black. The undersides of the leaves are deep red. It has an upright growth habit and blooms most of the year.
- Light: semi-shade, can withstand morning and late afternoon sun in winter
- Irrigation: moderate, avoid direct watering on the leaves and waterlogging
- Temperature range: 10 - 30 ºC
- Substratum: Rich in organic matter and with good drainage, we recommend our general substrate
